About the Construction Bar Association

The Construction Bar Association (CBA) is an association of Irish lawyers (both solicitors and barristers) established in 2013. The mission of the association is to promote knowledge of construction law and construction dispute resolution, to facilitate the sharing of expertise and to act as a hub for Members in an area where the resolution of disputes is often found outside of the forum of the Courts.

Since its inception in 2013, the CBA has grown to include over 130 members of the law library accompanied by solicitors from many of Ireland's leading firms in the practice area of construction law.

Some of the educational opportunities the CBA offers its members are a year-round technical talks programme, a Christmas and Summer lecture series and the Annual Construction Law Conference. The association also grants its members online access to the unique CBA Codex which contains more than ninety member authored papers on Irish Construction Law and Dispute Resolution in this jurisdiction.
